The Library and Archives Commission may deliberate on and/or take action on any of the following agenda items.

The commission may go into executive session on any agenda item, as authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Gov't Code Chapter 551.


 

  1. Approve minutes of August 2, 2012 meetings of the Audit Committee and Commission.
     
  2. Introductions.
     
  3. Welcome remarks from the National Archives and Records Administration.
     
  4. Public Comment.
     
  5. General Announcements.
     
  6. Conflict of interest disclosure.
  7. Review of consent agenda: non-substantive corrections in other agenda items such as spelling, numbering, punctuation, grammar, or other revisions.

  8. Report of Audit Committee meeting:

    1. Review and approve the Audit of Grant Management Processes.
    2. Annual review of the charter, activities and organizational structure of the Audit Committee.
    3. Review and approve the Audit Report for FY 2012.
    4. Review and approve the Annual Risk Assessment and Audit Plan for FY 2013.
    5. Review and approve the Contract for Internal Audit Services for FY 2013.
    6. Review of site visit by National Library Service for Blind and Physically Handicapped
       
  9. Approve acceptance of grants, and gifts greater than $500.
     
  10. Approve contracts greater than $100,000.
     
  11. Consider appointment to the TexShare Advisory Board.
     
  12. Consider request to loan archival document.
     
  13. Report of the Director and Librarian. May include information or updates on agency programs (Talking Book, Library Development & Networking, Information Resources Technologies, State & Local Records Management, Archives & Information Services, Administrative Services, Communications Office, and Sam Houston Regional Library & Research Center), key meetings and activities, Friends of Libraries and Archives of Texas, financial information, employment status report, dashboard metrics, and the status of other new or ongoing issues.
     
  14. Authorization to propose rule review of Chapter 3 (State Publications Depository).
     
  15. Authorization to propose rule review of Chapter 6 (State Records).
     
  16. Authorization to propose new rules 13 TAC 7.161-7.165 regarding standards for the storage of local government records.
     
  17. Executive session, as authorized by Texas Government Code §551.071 and §551.074, regarding consultations with attorney and personnel matters, respectively.
