The Texas State Library and Archives Commission Audit Committee met on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at at the State Records Center, 4400 Shoal Creek Boulevard, Austin, Texas.

Commissioner McAfee called the Audit Committee to order at 8:30 a.m.
- Review and approve 2016 Internal Audit Plan and Risk Assessment.
Kimberly Lopez-Gonzales presented the 2016 Internal Audit Plan and Risk Assessment recommending that audits be conducted in Records Management Assistance, Talking Book Program’s Circulation operation, Information Resources Technologies, Grants Management, and follow up on prior year audits and recommendations that were not fully implemented. No action taken.
- Discussion of State Auditor’s Office Fiscal Audit.
Donna Osborne informed the commission that the State Auditor’s Office is currently conducting a financial audit of the agency’s operations with a draft report expected in April to agency management. A final report is expected by the end of June. No action required.Commissioner McAfee welcomed TSLAC’s new commissioners, Martha Wong and Romanita Matta-Barrera to the meeting and adjourned the committee at 8:48 a.m.
