The Texas State Library and Archives Commission met on Friday, November 2, 2018, in the Lorenzo de Zavala State Archives and Library Building, 1201 Brazos Street, Austin, Texas.

  1. Welcome, introductions, and general announcements.

    Commissioner Givens called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m. and welcomed everyone to the meeting. He explained that agency management had issued an RFP for internal audit services and had invited the two top scoring candidates to appear before the commission. He said the firms would make separate presentations and respond to commissioner questions, the committee would score the candidates and make a recommendation to the full commission.

    Mark Smith introduced Rosalind Hunt, the agency’s new legal counsel, and her colleague, Melissa Juarez.

  2. Presentation of proposals for internal audit contract.

    Commissioner Givens welcomed representatives from Postlethwaite and Netterville who introduced themselves and presented information about their audit firm’s experience and expertise and answered questions from the commissioners.

    Commissioner Givens welcomed representatives of Weaver and Tidwell who introduced themselves and presented information about their audit firm’s experience and expertise and answered questions from the commissioners.

  3. Discussion of and possible action on proposals for internal audit contract.

    Commissioner Givens asked commissioners to complete and sign their scoring sheets and turn them into staff who will compile the scores.

Commissioner Givens adjourned the meeting at 8:55 a.m.
