The Archives and Records Committee may deliberate on and/or take action on any of the following agenda items. The Archives and Records Committee may go into executive session on any agenda item listed below, as authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Gov't Code, Chapter 551. A quorum of the full Texas State Library and Archives Commission may attend the Archives and Records Committee meeting.


  1. Welcome and introductions.
  2. Approval of minutes of meeting of August 2, 2019.

  3. Public Comment.

  4. Authorization to propose amendments to 13 TAC 6.10, regarding the Texas State Records Retention Schedule.

  5. Report on status of the Promontory Point storage facility project.

  6. Report on legislative appropriation projects at the Sam Houston Regional Library and Research Center.

  7. Report on transfer of legislative records to the Legislative Reference Library.

  8. Report on staff efforts to address the archives processing backlog.

  9. Agenda items for next meeting or future agenda items.
