Due to Governor Greg Abbott’s March 13, 2020 proclamation of a state of disaster affecting all counties in Texas due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the Governor’s March 16, 2020 suspension of certain provisions of the Texas Open Meetings Act, the March 30, 2020 meeting of the Texas State Library and Archives Commission Archives and Records Committee will be held by telephonic conference call, as authorized under Texas Government Code §551.125.

Members of the public will have access and a means to participate in this meeting, by two-way audio by calling 877-820-7831, toll-free, and entering the participant code of 290167#. A recording of the meeting will be available after March 30. To obtain a recording, please call Tracy Kuhn Lash at 512-463-5460.

For public participants, after the meeting convenes the Chairperson will call the roll. Please identify yourself by name and state whether you would like to provide public comment. You may also email tlash@tsl.texas.gov in advance of the meeting if you would like to provide public comment. When the Committee reaches the public comment item, the Chairperson will recognize you by name and give you an opportunity to speak. All public comments will be limited to 5 minutes.

The Archives and Records Committee may deliberate on and/or take action on any of the following agenda items. The Archives and Records Committee may go into executive session on any agenda item listed below, as authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Gov’t Code, Chapter 551. A quorum of the full Texas State Library and Archives Commission may attend the Archives and Records Committee meeting for information-gathering and discussion.  However, Commission members who are not Committee members will not vote on any Committee agenda items, nor will any Commission action be taken.
