Description:
Coverage of the map extends from the hills northwest of San Antonio to Santa Rosa, in southern coastal Texas. Shows rivers, creeks, hills, towns and settlements, routes and trails, and roads. Note: "The routes in the direction of Matamoras are reduced from the examinations made by Capt. Saunders and Lieut. Scaaritt of the Corps of Engineers, the remainder of the map reduced from the actual survey and my own examinations. J.E.B." Table: Estimate of Distances.
