Governor Manuel Muñoz on expeditions against the Indians, 1791-92

Document summary: No. 99, dated San Antonio de Bexar, Sept. 12, 1791. Governor Muñoz reports on a New Mexico native, Francisco Chaves, who has been captive among the Comanches for many years. Chaves has now decided he wants to return to the Spanish, seek his kin, and live with them. He has been provided clothing, baggage, escort, etc. and sent to see the commandant general.
