Sir:
I have the honor to transmit, herewith
a copy of a letter dated the 23rd instant
from the Commissioner of Indian Affairs
together with the copy of letter of U.S. In-
dian Agent J.M. Haworth therein noted
in relation to a Comanche Indian boy
now incarcerated in the Penitentiary at
Austin, Texas, and respectfully invite your
attention to the suggestion of the Commis-
sioner in relation to the release of the boy;
and, his return to his people, as indicated
