Kelsey Douglass to Albert Sidney Johnston, July  1839

not [sic] more than 325 and returns his thanks
for the promptness with which orders were delivered
by the respective staff officers. Adjt Genl McLeod,
Brigade Maj Snively, volunteer aid[e]s , Cols Davis
and Mabbit [?], & Capts Millroy [?] & Pillory [?] as also
to the staff officers of the respective regiments[.]
Important benefits were derived from the
exertions of the Sec of War and vice-
president who won on the field.
