To the People of Texas
In 2004, the Texas Historical Commission purchased a rare copy of To the People of Texas through auction at Sotheby's in New York. The $15,600 bid was made possible with funds from the Texas Historic Artifacts Program established by the Legislature in 1999.
This excellent copy of Moore's book was then donated to the collection at the Texas State Library and Archives. Through this donation, To the People of Texas will now be available to current and future generations of Texas researchers.
The images reproduced here give Moore's introductory statement. The rest of the volume includes documents and letters supporting his naval maneuvers and strategies.
