THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION ENDING 8/31/23.

SUMMARY
Performs complex (journey-level) grant development, coordination, and administration work. Serves as the program administrator for select agency grant programs. Includes preparing, maintaining and reporting of grants; evaluating grant applications to determine appropriateness of grant or compliance with requirements and standards; contract management; providing training and consulting to applicants and grantees under the guidance of the Grants Administrator. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Oversees administrative functions for select agency grant programs.
Provides consulting services to libraries about select grant programs.
Provides training for agency grant programs.
Prepares required reports for grant programs.
Attends work regularly in accordance with agency leave and attendance policies.
Complies with all applicable agency policies and procedures, including safety and standards of conduct.
Performs other duties as assigned.

NON ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
One year experience explaining program elements processes or procedures
One year of work experience with grant writing, grant research, grant administration or other elements of grantsmanship
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, or similar software to process complex documents and spreadsheets
Ability to interpret and explain statutes, administrative rules, and grant guidelines
Ability to write procedures and grant guidelines
Ability to synthesize raw data to formulate conclusions and write analytical reports

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in library or information science from an ALA-accredited program
Experience in a library or library system
Experience as a grant program administrator
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or other customer relationship management (CRM) applications
Experience with electronic or online grant management systems
Experience with technology grants
Experience with state or federal grants
Experience in negotiating creative solutions and resolving differences among groups, such as with local librarians, project staff, library board members, and local government officials.
Experience or formal education in strategic planning, systems analysis, policy development, statistics, program evaluation, using statistical or database software, grant writing, or designing web-based documents.
Work experience in multiple aspects of library service, such as public service, reference, technical services and automation.
Experience in public speaking, planning and conducting workshops or other training, and planning meetings.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Submit complete college transcripts.
Submit portfolio of writing samples, reports, or training materials.
Applicants selected for interview will be required to make a 15-minute presentation on an assigned topic.
Travel by airplane and personal auto required; estimate 10-20% of time.
Overtime work required.

None; reports to Team Lead and Division Director.
