The Texas State Library and Archives Commission seeks to provide Youth Services staff with the training, resources, and support they need to transform Texas libraries into community centers for literacy, early childhood development, caregiver education and engagement, family support, and community information.

Recently, TSLAC made changes to the program allowing eligible, established Family Place Libraries the opportunity to expand the Family Place model to additional branches.

In FY19, TSLAC awarded Family Place grants to seven new libraries and five expansion branches.
