Upcoming TSLAC Webinar: Applying for TSLAC Competitive Grants: What You Need to Know for FY 2024

Major grant program changes are coming to TSLAC! To better align our processes with state accounting requirements, the FY24 TSLAC Competitive Grant Programs will open for application on Monday, October 24, 2022. The 2024 TSLAC grant applications will include:

  • Texas Reads
  • TexTreasures
  • Special Projects
  • Regional ILS Cooperative grants.

Grant guidelines for each program, as well as specific information about the application process, past recipients, and additional resource are on the TSLAC Grants and Funding page. Applications will be due January 25, 2023.

The Texas State Library and Archives Commission will also be launching a new grant program specifically geared toward funding Summer Reading Club programming. More information on this grant program will be released in November 2022.

Accredited Texas public and academic libraries are eligible to apply annually for TSLAC competitive grants for local programming if funding allows.

 Applicants are encouraged to participate in a webinar, Applying for TSLAC Competitive Grants: What You Need to Know for FY2024, on Thursday, October 20, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM This webinar will provide useful information about funding priorities and the application process.

Description: TSLAC’s Grant Team will discuss agency expectations and requirements for the 2024 competitive grant proposals and strategies on how to meet those expectations. The discussion will include a review of the funding priorities, as well as the types of information to be submitted in the proposals.
