Smartinvesting@yourlibrary Grant Cycle Open

2013 March 6
by Katherine Adelberg

The latest cycle for Smart investing@your library® grants is now open. The American Library Association (ALA) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Investor Education Foundation are funding innovative projects that build the capacity of US public libraries and community college libraries to provide financial education resources and services to library patrons.

Grant amounts ranging between $5,000 and $100,000 may be awarded, and the application process for the grant is by invitation only.  Grants are typically awarded to public libraries, although applications from community colleges and non-profits serving public libraries may also be considered.  Libraries seeking an invitation should carefully read over all grant requirements and details and the FAQ documents first, then contact Margaret Monsour of the American Library Association at 1-800-545-2433, extension 4396, to request an invitation to apply.  The grant application deadline is Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 5:00 pm EST.
