If you’re from a public library and going to next week’s TLA Conference in Fort Worth, please join me in attending this panel featuring two of Texas’ finest public library directors:

Title: “Implementing the Edge Initiative in Public Libraries”
Date: Thursday, April 28
Time: 2 pm to 3:50 pm

Here’s the description:

Edge Senior Program Manager Jake Cowan will be joined by library leaders Dionne L. Mack of El Paso Public Library and Gretchen Pruett of New Braunfels Public Library for a panel discussion on the Edge Initiative. Join us to learn how the Edge toolkit will demonstrate the value of technology services to local decision makers and encourage reinvestment in public technology in libraries.

What’s the Edge Initiative?
The Edge Initiative is a voluntary, assessment program that includes benchmarks, best practices, tools and resources that support continuous improvement and drive reinvestment toward public technology.

We at the State Library are very excited to be involved with this upcoming project. Edge will soon be launched throughout the whole state, so stay tuned for more information!
