Cycle Opens for National Leadership Grants

2013 November 8

imls-200The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) is now taking applications for National Leadership Grants for Libraries. The application deadline is February 3, 2014.

Grants support projects that have the potential to advance library services into the future. The implementation of successful Leadership grants result in new tools, services or collaborations that can be widely adapted to advance libraries everywhere.  The IMLS particularly invites libraries to address STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) in their program and project proposals, especially for at-risk youth.

The funding range is from $50,000 to $500,000, and there are cost sharing requirements associated with these particular grants. Click here for details and to learn more about the funding opportunity.

Questions about the grants?  Contact Kathy Mitchell, Library Program Specialist at IMLS, at kmitchell@imls.gov or 202-653-4687. Prospective applicants can also participate in a live pre-application webinar on December 11 or January 7 to learn more about the program.
