Upcoming Webinar: Transforming Into Family Place Libraries

2016 February 17
by Katherine Adelberg

The Texas State Library and Archives Commission began sending librarians to the 3-day Family Place Libraries Training Institute in Centereach, NY in May 2015 as a part of its Family Place Libraries Project. We are now very happy to announce a webinar in which a panel of librarians who attended the May Training Institute will discuss how they developed their programs and transformed their libraries into family friendly play environments for children birth to three that encourage development of the five early literacy practices.

The webinar will be presented on Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 2:00-3:00 PM CST. Please plan to attend! Click here for more information and to register. Attendees at the LIVE webinar will receive 1 hour of Texas State Library Continuing Education credit (SBEC provider number 500799). The webinar will be archived for later viewing.
