2015 Texas Public Libraries Annual Report Statistics Now Available!

by Valicia Greenwood

Accreditation letters for State fiscal year 2017 went out last week to Texas public libraries who met the minimum criteria with their local fiscal year 2015 Annual Report.

Additionally, all of the collected data has been reviewed, evaluated, and submitted to the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to be published nationally next year. We acknowledge the great work of our public librarians for gathering and reporting all of this information!

The 2015 report data is published on our website, under Texas Public Library Statistics, https://www.tsl.texas.gov/ld/pubs/pls/index.html, and available to individual libraries through the Reports tab in LibPAS, https://tx.countingopinions.com/. Statistics for individual libraries are also available on the website back to 1996, and in LibPAS since 2006.

On the State Library website, we have updated the Individual Library Statistics and Comparison Charts, where you can quickly view your library’s statistics, or compare your library’s information with that of up to four other public libraries. In LibPAS, you will continue to find the Library Snapshot with its simple bar graphs, as well as a Two-Year Comparison Report in the Merge Documents tab of the LibPAS Report section. You can download and use any of these reports for distribution to patrons and other library stakeholders.

If you need assistance with any of these spreadsheets or reports, or if you need more customized information, please contact Valicia Greenwood (vgreenwood@tsl.texas.gov) or Stacey Malek (smalek@tsl.texas.gov) by email or at 800/252-9386.
