Small Library Management Training Program

Are you looking for more effective ways to build partnerships, manage your staff, and plan for the future?

Join us for our Leadership & Management Essentials workshop series!

Leadership and Management Essentials is a 3 day in-person workshop offered every two years as part of the Small Library Management program.

This workshop provides foundational leadership and management skills that will enable you to accomplish your library’s goals. Highly recommended for new directors, managers, anyone interested in becoming a manager, or anyone that would like a refresher. It’s FREE for all Texas library staff.

Day 1: Leadership – covers the fundamentals of leadership, strategic planning, and building partnerships.

Day 2: Management – focuses on personnel management, human resources, and policies.

Day 3: Financial Management – covers financial management, including budgeting and financial planning.

The instructor for this series is Julie Todaro, library leadership expert and American Library Association president.
