The LSTA Grants to States Program is a federal program that provides funding to each state on a population-driven formula. Federal funding for the program in Texas is approximately $10 million per year. Decisions regarding how available funds are spent are made at the state level; however, expenditures must be consistent with the purposes and priorities that are established nationally.
Many popular programs such as the TexShare databases, the competitive grant programs, statewide interlibrary loan, and Continuing Education and Consulting are either partially or fully funded with LSTA dollars.
We hope you can attend this webinar, hear how Texas libraries viewed and ranked the programs funded, and how well the state met its goals.
