2017 March 27
by Henry Stokes

Accredited public libraries are eligible to receive E-rate discounts on their Internet access and other broadband costs!  The first deadline to apply for the 2017 Funding Year (for services starting in July) is approaching: Thursday, April 13.

There’s still time to submit the first form in the process – the Form 470 – by April 13!

Are you brand new to E-rate, or in need a refresher?  Next week there will be two free webinars provided by the Schools and Libraries Program (the company that administers E-rate) that introduce the program and explain the application process.

Here’s the info:

Note: If you can’t attend the live events, you can register anyway to automatically receive an email with the archived recording links when they become available.

Besides the live webinars, you also have a live person : TSLAC’s own Henry Stokes, State E-rate Coordinator for Texas libraries, at 512-463-6624, hstokes@tsl.texas.gov, ready to take your call or email. He can talk you through every aspect of  E-rate and assist you step-by-step.
