National Disability Voter Registration Week

2017 July 10
by Jennifer Peters

National Disability Voter Registration (NDVR) Week is a collaboration of many disability advocacy groups and spearheaded by REV UP (Register, Educate, Vote, Use your Power).  NDVR is  similar to National Voter Registration Day (held in September) but this particular event’s focus is on non-partisan efforts in registering (and educating) potential voters that have disabilities.   Throughout the week of July 17-21, 2017, many local and state-wide governments will be giving proclamations for this event and several community groups will be holding voter registration drives, voter rights workshops, and volunteer deputy registrar trainings.

REV UP has partnered with EveryLibrary to bring NDVR Week to libraries across the country. Click here to learn more. If you have questions, contact Molly Broadway of Disability Rights Texas at mbroadway@drtx.org or 512-407-2725.
