Tech Tools Webinar this Friday on Foursquare

2011 October 26
Tech Tools With Tine

Please join us this Friday for our third Webinar in this very popular (and free!) Tech Tools with Tine Webinar series. This Friday our focus is on Foursquare (typically stylized as “foursquare”), a location-based social networking site for mobile device users.

Why should you know about Foursquare? Because it is a location-based tool that is free, easy to use, and that might attract additional users/visitors to your library —  especially new users. Additionally, by establishing and monitoring your presence on Foursquare, you may gain valuable feedback about your institution.

If utilizing Foursquare is not something your library has considered, please join us this Friday from 10-11am Central time. We’ll spend about 45 minutes demonstrating the nuts and bolts of Foursquare, and allow time for your questions!

Our presenter: Christine Walczyk is currently a PhD candidate at the University of North Texas in Library & Information Science as well as an independent technology/library consultant with Trainers-R-Us. She has 10+ years in libraries and is a veteran software trainer.
