The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has issued a Declaration of Disaster for Kerr County, Disaster 4879<\/a>. The following resources are available to provide recovery assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FEMA<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Qualifying Texans in Kerr County are eligible to apply for\u00a0FEMA individual assistance<\/a>\u00a0through September 4, 2025, on the\u00a0Disaster Assistance website<\/a>, the FEMA mobile app, or by calling the FEMA helpline at 800-621-3362.\u00a0Instructions with American Sign Language support<\/a>\u00a0(and\u00a0in Spanish<\/a>) detail what is needed when applying for assistance. This funding\u00a0can be used for<\/a>\u00a0temporary housing, home repair, property loss, legal services, unemployment assistance, medical, dental and funeral expenses caused by the disaster. Affected Texans are asked, once it is safe, to submit information about damage by visiting\u00a0https:\/\/damage.tdem.texas.gov\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this time, the declaration Area of Designation is only Kerr County. However, this could be amended to include additional counties at a later date. The Texas Division of Emergency Management website<\/a> has more on Texas response efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
