Preface
This manual is a compilation of the Bilingual Programs Chapters from To the Library and Beyond! : 2001 Texas Reading Club Manual and Read Across Texas! : 2002 Texas Reading Club Manual. The 2001 Bilingual Program Chapter was written by Elida Guardia Bonet. The 2002 Bilingual Program Chapter was written by Paola Ferate-Soto, Josefina Rodriguez-Gibbs, Nohemi Lopez, and Maricela Moreyra-Torres.
The 2001 and 2002 Bilingual Programs Chapters have been combined and organized into chapters according to the age level of their audiences in this manual. There are chapters with programs for toddlers, preschoolers, families, elementary school-age children or young adults, and young adults. In each chapter, the programs that originally appeared in the 2001 Texas Reading Club manual are printed before the programs from the 2002 Texas Reading Club manual. The authors are credited for each of the programs they developed.
