Introduction to Credo Reference

Credo Reference is one of TexShare's newest additions. The Credo Complete Core Collection is one-stop exploratory search platform containing over 1,000 full-text reference titles, plus thousands of images and videos - making it a great starting point for homework and school projects, academic research, job search preparation, and other reference needs.

This in-person workshop will serve as a general overview of Credo Reference, give a full platform tour, and discuss how to get the most usage out of this reference service at your library.

  • Platform features:  Complete Core title list, image searching, Mind Map, Topic Pages and translation tools
  • Credo LibGuides integrations and LMS embedding tools.
  • Using Credo in research instruction with a focus on FYE students (for academic institutions) and juvenile content for young students (for public libraries)
  • Credo Admin tour - run usage stats, download MARC records, handle light customization maintenance.

Presenter: Lisa Hill has been the reference platform trainer at Credo for over ten years.  She received her MLS from University of Albany in New York and has worked in public libraries in Massachusetts as a children's and YA librarian.
