Small Library Management - Advanced Workshops
Once you have completed the core SLM program, you can continue to enhance your knowledge with SLM Advanced workshops and courses. For interested library staff, we regularly offer in-person for variety of topics not covered by the core SLM program.
Professionalism Online Course
Professionalism is designed to be a preliminary introduction to SLM subject matter, as well as an introduction to web-based instruction. The course material was created by Leadership and Maangement Essentials insturctor Julie Todaro. You will receive two hours of TSLAC continuing education credit or SBEC Continuing Education credit for school librarians.
Orientation for New Texas Public Library Directors
This self-paced course, which provides 1.5 TSLAC CE hours, consists of a series of short (2-3 minute) videos covering all the support the TSLAC Library Development & Networking Division has to offer you and your library.
You Can Do I.T.! : Basic Network Technology for Libraries
This online course is specifically designed for small, rural public libraries on the subject of basic library networking skills. Nationally-recognized technology consultant and trainer Carson Block presents the online version of his very popular face-to-face workshop that he conducted for TSLAC at 15 Texas locations in 2015. 2.5 CE hours, SBEC eligible, provider #500799
