Texas public libraries complete the Public Libraries Annual Report each year, in order to be accredited by the Texas State Library. This Webinar will take a look at the accreditation criteria, which questions on the annual report are accreditation questions and go over the benefits of accreditation for public libraries in Texas.

What's a Webinar?
Short for Web-based seminar, a webinar is a presentation, lecture, workshop or seminar that is transmitted over the Web. A key feature of a Webinar is its interactive elements -- the ability to give, receive and discuss information. Contrast with Webcast, in which the data transmission is one way and does not allow interaction between the presenter and the audience. Source: Webopedia.
This Webinar qualifies for 1 hour of Texas State Library Continuing Education credit. However, printed Certificates of Completion will not be issued. Instead, a follow-up email will be sent 2-3 business days after the event to individuals who logged in and attended the live Webinar. Attendees are advised to save and/or print the follow-up email as it will serve as proof of attendance for CE purposes.
