Reporting Errors Workbook for Public Libraries Annual Report
February 12, 2013 -- 2pm to 3pm Central Time
or
April 9, 2013 -- 10am to 11am Central Time (REPEAT OFFERING)
Texas public libraries complete the Public Libraries Annual Report each year. Once your library’s report is submitted, staff at TSLAC complete an analysis of the data for any potential errors or accreditation issues. You are then sent a reporting errors workbook, which outlines the accreditation issues, possible errors, and any requests for clarifications. Attend this Webinar and learn how to quickly determine whether the library’s report needs amending or if your library may have an accreditation issue. You will also learn how to use the workbook to assist in planning for the next year’s report.
Please note: we are doing two (2) webinars on this topic. If you report, or plan to report, by the end of February, then you may want to attend the earlier webinar on February 12.

Handouts:
What's a Webinar?
Short for Web-based seminar, a webinar is a presentation, lecture, workshop or seminar that is transmitted over the Web. A key feature of a Webinar is its interactive elements -- the ability to give, receive and discuss information. Contrast with Webcast, in which the data transmission is one way and does not allow interaction between the presenter and the audience. Source: Webopedia.
CE Credit:
This Webinar qualifies for 1 hour of Texas State Library Continuing Education credit. However, printed Certificates of Completion will not be issued. Instead, a follow-up email will be sent 2-3 business days after the event to individuals who logged in and attended the live Webinar. Attendees are advised to save and/or print the follow-up email as it will serve as proof of attendance for CE purposes. CE credit is now available for group viewings of live Webinar events -- please follow the Group Webinar Viewing procedure listed in our Frequently Asked Questions.
