Waistcoat, 1869. Personal effects of Jacob K. Beaumont, Artifacts Collection, ATF0037b. TSLAC. Waistcoat front is brown, black, and blue with six blue and gold buttons (two additional buttons missing) and shawl collar. Reverse is plain brown with an attached belt. Inner lining is cream-colored.

Waistcoat, 1869. Personal effects of Jacob K. Beaumont, Artifacts Collection, ATF0037b. TSLAC. Waistcoat front is brown, black, and blue with six blue and gold buttons (two additional buttons missing) and shawl collar. Reverse is plain brown with an attached belt. Inner lining is cream-colored. This waistcoat is believed to have belonged to the son of Galveston jurist Jacob K. Beaumont, who wore it when he was married in 1869.

About the Graham (R. Niles) Collection: Richard Niles Graham, born in 1881 to Carrie Augusta Pease Graham (1851-1882) and George Thomas Graham (1847-1897), was a Texas businessman and social figure who was instrumental in the development of numerous communities in Austin and throughout Texas. Former Governor of Texas Elisha Marshall Pease (1812-1883) was his maternal grandfather. Graham passed away in 1959.
