a sabre, or lance, probably
at Eagle Pass, or Piedras Negras.
7. I do not know where you can
obtain models of the Flags,
unless our Vetran [sic] Association
can furnish them. I believe the
Mexican flag was composed of three
oblong blocks upright [with] the right
green, the left red, the middle white,
with a mexican Eagle in center,
& our flag was the Star with
five points.
8. [I]n regard to my likeness
I had one taken when I was
young but it has been
misplaced. [W]e had quite a
look for it. I had one taken by
Rose the Artist in Galveston
a few years ago[.] [Y]ou can
get one from him by sending to him
him. [sic]
