a sabre, or lance, probably

at Eagle Pass, or Piedras Negras.

7. I do not know where you can

obtain models of the Flags,

unless our Vetran [sic] Association

can furnish them. I believe the

Mexican flag was composed of three

oblong blocks upright [with] the right

green, the left red, the middle white,

with a mexican Eagle in center,

& our flag was the Star with

five points.

8. [I]n regard to my likeness

I had one taken when I was

young but it has been

misplaced. [W]e had quite a

look for it. I had one taken by

Rose the Artist in Galveston

a few years ago[.] [Y]ou can

get one from him by sending to him

him. [sic]
