Join author and historian Donaly E. Brice as he shares excerpts from his book, The Governor’s Hounds: The Texas State Police, 1870-1873.  This program coincides with the current TSLAC lobby exhibit, Evolution of the Texas Rangers: 1836-1920, which invites visitors to explore the history of the men behind the silver star.

Copies of the book will be available for sale with proceeds going to the Friends of Libraries & Archives of Texas, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enriching library and archival services for the benefit of Texans by promoting and supporting the programs of TSLAC.
