Presenter:  Nick Glass is the Founder & Executive Director of TeachingBooks.net. He and his company now work with more than 35,000 schools and libraries in dozens of countries. Nick has a Master's in educational policy and the history of multicultural education. He has served on a handful of book award committees, including the Newbery, Sibert, and Coretta Scott King Book Award. And he probably is one of very few children's literature experts who has worked as a statistician in Major League Baseball (for the San Francisco Giants).

Presenter:  In her position of Director of Instructional Technology & Support, Dr. Annette Smith partners with educators to optimize their use and enjoyment of our service.  Annette comes to TeachingBooks with a wealth of dynamic and relevant experiences, having been a teacher, a media specialist, a professor, and most recently the Director of Technology at a Wisconsin school district. Annette's knowledge and passion for education has led her to serve on the Board of Directors for the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). She was also the President of the Wisconsin Educational Media and Technology Association (WEMTA) and is now a regular speaker and writer for dozens of organizations. Luckily she loves traveling and meeting with educators from around the world!

Presenter: Having spent 17 years as a high school librarian, Val Edwards is excited to use her collaboration and instructional experience at TeachingBooks.net. Her role as Implementation & Training Manager allows her to continue the work she loves: bringing valuable resources to TeachingBooks.net's users. Val is an active member of the American Association of School Librarians (AASL). Val is also a member of the Board of Trustees for her local public library. She and her husband, Dave, enjoy participating in charity bike rides around Wisconsin and the Midwest. They have a naughty Dalmatian, Hazel, who enjoys going to school to polish her agility skills.
