Libraries and library workers have always played a role providing technology access and training, often working with the most underserved in our communities. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the harsh reality that when libraries shutter, the need still remains. Many staffing Texas libraries have asked, “But how do reach those without access if we cannot physically connect with them?” While there is no quick, one-sized fits all approach, this webinar will cover strategies, tools, resources, and examples of how libraries can continue to play an essential role in working towards equitable technology access.

Please note: This webinar will focus on some Texas specific resources, but all are welcome to join. Presented by Cindy Fisher, Digital Inclusion Consultant, Texas State Library & Archives Commission Attendance at the LIVE program qualifies for 1 hour of Texas State Library Continuing Education credit (SBEC provider #500799). Printed certificates will not be issued. A follow-up email will be sent 2 days after the event to individuals who attended the live Webinar. Attendees are advised to save and/or print the follow-up email as it will serve as proof of attendance for CE purposes.
