The 16th Annual e-Records Conference, hosted by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) and the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR), was held on November 4th in Austin.

This year’s theme was “At the Intersection of Technology and Records Management”. We had about 360 attendees and about 20 vendors showcasing their products. After opening remarks from TSLAC Director Mark Smith, and DIR Director Stacey Napier, we also got an update from the Statewide Data Coordinator Ed Kelly about the ongoing efforts to establish relationships among key state agencies to improve the convergence of technology and records management.

We enjoyed hearing from a variety of speakers providing case studies and analyses about the continued evolution in our industry. Over the next month, our team of analysts will be recapping the conference sessions. We’ve provided links to handouts from speakers on the Conference Resources for e-Records 2016 website, in case you want to revisit a presentation or see what you missed.
