Local Government Records Management Training – Register Today!

Local government classes will be held in April and May 2017. Each class is $15. Class size is limited to 20 people so register today!

Classes are being held at the State Records Center located at 4400 Shoal Creek Blvd., Austin, TX 78756.

  • Introduction to Records Management – Full Day Workshop
    Tuesday, April 11 or May 16, 8:30 AM-4:00 PM
    Learn why records management is important and required, what constitutes a record, how to ensure you are in compliance, how to inventory and store your records, how to plan for and recover from an emergency, and how to transfer or dispose of records at the end of their lifecycle.
  • Managing Electronic Records – Full Day Workshop
    Wednesday, April 12 or May 17, 8:30 AM-4:00 PM
    In this interactive workshop, you’ll learn how to apply records management principles to electronic records through face-to-face instruction and hands-on activities. This course explores four critical elements of electronic records management for Texas local government records managers: legal requirements, records retention, information retrieval, and long-term preservation.

    I missed the registration times for April and May, I was wondering when you were going to have your next training sessions. I would like to be able to register before your class fills up.
