State Electronic Records Rules: Formal Comment Period for Updated Rules Begins
SLRM announces the proposed repeal of existing State Electronic Records Rules (13 TAC §6.91-6.97) and the proposed adoption of new rules (13 TAC §6.91-6.98). The repeal and adoption proposals with the new text will appear this Friday, May 26th in the Texas Register for a 30-day formal comment period.
The new proposed rules resulted from the collaboration of internal/external stakeholders as well as informal comments submitted by state agency RMOs and IRMs last summer.
This does not affect the Local Government Electronic Records Rules (13 TAC §7.71-7.79).
Written comments on the proposals may be submitted to Nanette Pfiester, Program Planning and Research Specialist, Texas State Library and Archives Commission, State and Local Records Management, P.O. Box 12927, Austin, TX 78711; by fax to (512) 936-2306; or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. The Texas State Library and Archives Commission must receive written comments postmarked no later than 30 days from the date this notice is published in the Texas Register.
