Curious for a brief informal description of what it’s like to be a part of our team?
Government Information Analysts
We frequently describe ourselves as the help-desk for records management in Texas, but that doesn’t mean we are glued to the phone all day. We get to express our creativity by developing training materials, and we get to practice public speaking skills by conducting presentations and workshops to local governments and state agencies all around the state. We work on special projects like tracking legislation that might affect records retention, doing research to help others identify and maintain specific types of records, and writing topical blog articles like this one! See our “Day in the Life” blog series for more insight into our team adventures.
Administrative Assistant
The admin reports directly to the division director and does conduct the typical office work like being the first point of contact for those who call our main line, working with the Purchasing dept and doing some data entry. This person will occasionally work on special projects and sometimes get a change of scenery by working at the records center on Shoal Creek. Perhaps it would also be enticing to mention what the admin does not have to do: public speaking, process our incoming compliance paperwork or take any sass from the analysts.
