This week my colleague Andrew Glass and I headed out to Lockhart, TX and taught a 2-day class for employees of several Caldwell County offices. We enjoyed being able to provide face-to-face instruction and consulting for the attendees, and based on their competitive round of Jeopardy at the end of day 2, we think they enjoyed our company as well. :)
Since Lockart is widely known for its famous barbecue, we had to try at least one of the eateries for lunch. We picked Chisholm Trail BBQ, which is “where the locals eat”, and they weren’t kidding around because several of our class attendees recommended it over other options. Next time we go out to visit Lockhart, we’ll try brisket at more places and let you know what we think!
So much fun. Thanks for hosting us, Caldwell County!
I love Lockhart! Raised my family there and worked for the Sheriff’s Office and Lockhart PD. The people are amazing and the Food is outstanding. Sure miss Lockhart
Just a memory, but the first director of the Regional Historical Resource Depository Program and the Local Records Division, Marilyn von Kohl, lived in Lockhart.
