In the course of a month, RMA welcomed two new Government Information Analysts to the Records Management Assistance Unit. Though they were onboarded during a stay-at-home order, both have been able to make immediate contributions.
Brady Cox
Brady Cox joins us fresh from receiving his second master’s degree, an MSIS from the University of Texas at Austin to complement his MA from Abilene Christian University (ACU). At ACU, Brady was an archivist in the Special Collection and University Archives, which encouraged him to continue his education. While at UT, he focused on archives and records management. Now he brings that combined experience to consulting with the West-North region of Texas, filling the shoes of Erica Wilson-Lang.
Rebecca Hanna
Becca Hanna wowed the team by incorporating what she learned at Texas State University’s McCoy College of Business with her five years of experience as a pre-K teacher in and around the Central Texas Region. Prior to joining the team, Becca interned with Hays County Law Library, where she participated in a records project converting physical case papers to electronic format. Becca was instrumental in determining potential disposition eligibility of the papers. This experience kick started her interest in records management.
Becca will be taking on the biggest assigned region on our map: West Texas.
Please welcome Becca and Brady to the Records Management Assistance Unit!
This program has come a long way since 1973 when there were only three of us for the entire state.
