Hello! My name is Benjamin Barlow, and I joined the State and Local Records Management Division at TSLAC in January 2017. Prior to joining the Records Management Assistance Team, I served in the US Army, recently retiring in December 2016 after 22 years of honorable service. Currently, I serve the local government entities in the counties located in the Northwest, Central West, and Western regions of the state.
Although, I am new to records management, I spent the last eight years of my Army career developing, maintaining, managing, and supporting military plans at various levels. Discovering sensible solutions to complex problems is the reason why I like what I do; however, my passion is to always be in the position to serve others.
I grew up in an Air Force Family, where I spent most of my childhood in Charleston, South Carolina. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from South Carolina State University, where I majored in Computer Science. In addition, I received a Master of Arts degree from American Military University, where I majored in National Security Studies.
