Hello! I’m Bonnie, and I’m a Government Information Analyst in the Records Management Assistance unit at TSLAC.

I grew up in the North Texas area and worked in public libraries for a little over a decade. During that time, I worked with people of all ages, including babies, toddlers and school-age kids; quite a different atmosphere than we have here at the state library!

After earning my Master of Library Science in 2009, I transitioned my career out of public libraries and into the world of records management a small financial advisory firm in Dallas. My experience helping people manage knowledge and information in the corporate environment led to my interest in helping the government sector wrangle information. I moved to Austin in 2012 and have enjoyed the growth and development offered here.

My favorite thing about my job is – of course – helping people! I enjoy interacting with a large, diverse population of advice-seekers, and I like being available to find solutions. As I have often said throughout my library career, “I may not know all the answers, but I want to help find them!”

If you work in the Central Texas region, then I will be your primary contact for any questions you may have or help that you may need regarding records management.

  1. Congratulations!!! I serve the great state of Texas as the Records Manager/Archivist for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Infrastructure Division. I served as a Records Consultant/GIA at TSLAC for over 9 years. It was a great experience. My past included duty as an Electronic Combat Officer/Target Officer/Intelligence Analyst in the USAF. The most challenging position by far was my time as a child abuse investigator. I look forward to meeting you in the not-too-distant future. Best of Success! jr.
