Hello, my name is Raul Gonzalez! I joined the State and Local Records Management division of The Texas State Library and Archives Commission as a Government Information Analyst in October 2022.
I am from Dallas, Texas, but made my way to north Texas where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Economics and then Master of Science in Information Science at the University of North Texas. Before joining TSLAC, I began my library and information experience at the UNT Willis Library as a Stacks Management Assistant and then as a Graduate Services Assistant. After earning my master’s degree, I moved on to working with Denton County Records Management as a Records Analyst. Working in an informational setting satisfies my desire in solving puzzling inquires or simply guiding people to helpful resources. I am delighted to continue this mission as your Government Information Analyst!
Some of my hobbies and interests include reading and going to concerts. I force myself to be outdoorsy with my dog Tegan, but we’re fine staying in for movies and video games too.
