Hello, my name is Sebastian Loza and I became a Government Information Analyst at the Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) in March of 2023. I worked at TSLAC as a Library Assistant from July of 2022 to February of 2023.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in History and Art History at Chico State University, and went on to receive my Master’s in History at San Diego State University. My emphasis was on hegemony in colonial and modern Mexico. Record maintenance impacted my studies as I was often aided or stumped by good and subpar records management. Squinting through colonial archival records instigated a deep curiosity in why institutions keep and dispose of information; this is how I became a Records Management Analyst.
Outside of work I enjoy going out to trivia nights, reading science fiction/fantasy books, and playing board games.
