Confused? Let me explain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However you look at it, every local government must declare compliance with a selection from TSLAC&#8217;s 12 local government retention schedules using either the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsl.texas.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/public\/tslac\/slrm\/pubs\/SLR512.pdf\">SLR 512<\/a> (for elected officials) or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsl.texas.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/public\/tslac\/slrm\/pubs\/SLR508.pdf\">SLR 508<\/a> (for everyone else). It&#8217;s also binding upon county clerks, county tax assessor-collectors, county election administrators, and election officials in other local governments.
