Spooky Storytime at the Texas State Library!
Join us for a Spooky Storytime at the Texas State Library, featuring award-winning storyteller Bernadette Nason, on Monday, October 14! This free event is perfect for all ages— with no school that day, it’s the ideal opportunity to enjoy spine-chilling tales in a fun and family-friendly environment. Storytime will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in our Public Event Space at the Lorenzo de Zavala State Archives and Library Building, 1201 Brazos St. in Austin, next door to the Texas Capitol.
After the stories, attendees are invited to join a free, all-ages "RIP Tour of the Texas Capitol" at 1:00 p.m. led by the Capitol Information and Guide Services Office. Participants will hear haunted legends and eerie historical tales about Capitol building.
Come for the stories, stay for the scares—it’s sure to be a day you won’t forget!
