Spanish is a high priority international language. BARD has a Spanish language collection, and its interface is available in Spanish on the web version and also both iOS and Android BARD apps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spanish Language Books<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

NLS has a Spanish version of the NLS website<\/a> and a robust and growing Spanish language collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are three main sources for Spanish audiobooks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. NLS narrates print or ebooks,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. NLS converts Spanish commercial audiobooks to accessible audiobooks, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. NLS imports accessible audiobooks in Spanish from other countries via the Marrakesh Treaty. The vast majority of these come from Spain.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    NLS collects both translations into Spanish and original-Spanish language books from as many Spanish-speaking countries as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    BARD<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    On BARD, there are currently 6,499 audiobooks and 62 braille books in Spanish (including music titles). The Spanish collection has increased by 150% over the past 3 and a half years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    You can find these Spanish language titles by changing your preferred language or filtering search results by selecting your preferred language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Go to Account Settings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Choose the fourth item down \u201cSelect this link to change your language preferences.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Check the checkbox next to Spanish.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Click on the \u201cupdate\u201d button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      BARD Express<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Go to Search BARD.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Select the \u201cFilter\u201d button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Select the checkbox next to Spanish Language.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Select the \u201cOk\u201d button at bottom of the screen.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        1. Go to Settings Tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Go to User Account Settings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. The fifth item down is \u201cLanguage Preferences.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        4. Choose Spanish.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          BARD App for Android<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          1. In the app\u2019s Settings, go to User Account Settings and then Language Preferences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. Select up to four languages.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
