Obtaining a TexShare Card: Issuing a Hebert Public Library patron a TexShare card:*A TexShare card is not automatically given to every patron.*To receive a TexShare card, a patron must be a member in good standing at the Hebert Public Library. No fines or fees must appear on the patron's record.*A patron must produce a current photo ID before being issued a TexShare card.*The TexShare card will have an expiration date of three months after issuance.*A TexShare card will be issued to adult patrons only.*The patron is responsible for returning the materials back to the lending library.*A TexShare card must be surrendered to the Hebert Public Library staff if requested. Cards must be surrendered if delinquencies or failure to return materials occur on a TexShare record.*A patron will be blocked from using the Hebert Public Library immediately upon learning of a TexShare overdue regardless of the patron's status of Hebert Public Library account. Privileges will be restored only when the patron produces written release from his obligations by the lending TexShare library.*A patron will be denied future TexShare privileges if he defaults on a TexShare loan.Serving a TexShare visitor:*TexShare patrons must provide a current TexShare Card from their home library.TexShare patrons must register as a Hebert Public Library borrower.*TexShare patrons must return Hebert Public Library items which they borrow using the TexShare card to the Hebert Public Library either in person or through priority mailMust provide photo ID & TexShare card from home library; must provide current phone number and proof of valid physical & maining addresses.
Using a TexShare Card: Cards are issued during open hours.
Hours of Operation: Monday - Thursday: ...... 8:30 A.M. - 8:00 P.M. Friday: ...... 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. Sunday: ...... 2:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. (Front Desk closes @ 7:45 / 4:45.)
Loan Policies: Items are loaned for 2 weeks without renewals.
Restrictions and Limitations: Restricted to half of the usual number of items; No renewals; No ILL services; No new items.

Recalls: Recalls will be made by phone.
Non-Circulating Items: New titles and standard non-circulating items (Reference, genealogy, archives, etc.)
Overdue Reminders: Overdue Notices will be mailed after item is overdue for 2 weeks.
Fines and Fees: .10 cents per day; $1.00 per day for DVDs.
Lost Items: Item is considered lost when six weeks overdue. Charges include the price of the item, and processing fees.
Billing Information: Payment for charges must be made at the library. Charges may also be filed by the city attorney for violation of statutes and ordinances.
