Obtaining a TexShare Card: Apply at the Circulation desk in the main lobby. Present TexShare card, library card from home library, and drivers license with current address (or another document with current address if license is no longer correct).
Using a TexShare Card: Issuing of new cards ends fifteen minutes before closing.
Hours of Operation: Monday-Thursday 10-9 Friday-Saturday 10-6 Sunday 2-6
Loan Policies: Most items circulate for 21 days. Entertainment DVDs and some specialized Children's items have a 7 day loan period.
Restrictions and Limitations: Circulation limits: 3 items may be checked out on an account at any one time. Any associated late fees must be paid before other items may be checked out.
Renewals: Renewals equal to the original loan period are permitted if the item in not on hold for another patron. The extension of the due date is calculated from the date of the renewal. Renewals may be made online, in person at the Circulation Desk, via phone to the Circulation Department (972-744-4363), through our 24-hour automated TeleCirc system (972-744-4385 or 972-744-4386).

Recalls: We do not recall items. However, items on Hold may not be extended by phone or rechecked.
Non-Circulating Items: Reference materials. Magazines and Newspapers.
Overdue Reminders: No overdue mailings are made to borrowers. Patrons can specify if they would like to be contacted by email or phone call. Calls about late materials are made at five days past the due date. An email is sent three days before the item is due. The library subscribes to Library Elf (www.libraryelf.com) and this service may be used by borrowers to get an email or text message reminder of an item coming due.
Fines and Fees: Most items have a late fee of $0.25 per item per day. The late fee for DVDs and specialized children's items is $1 per item per day.
Lost Items: An item is set to Lost when it is past due for four weeks. The charge for a Lost item is the price of the item plus a $5 processing fee.
Billing Information: All fees and bills become due when they are incurred. All payments are collected at the Circulaiton desk or self-check out kiosks. A library card cannot be used if there is an overdue amount or other fee on the record, regardless of the amount of the fee.
