Data Sync Collections – Webinar Recording and Slides

Recently, Kathy Kie of OCLC presented an overview of WorldCat data sync collections for Texas libraries.  This new service replaces batchloading for keeping library holdings up to date in WorldCat and the Texas Group Catalog.

Please use the resources below to begin the process of updating your holdings in WorldCat and the Texas Group Catalog with data sync collections:

  1. Use this checklist as a guide to gather the information you will need to create a WorldCat data sync collection in WorldShare Collection Manager:
Texas Library Checklist – Create a WorldCat data sync collection
  2. The webinar recording and slides will help in completing the checklist:
Play recording (1 hr 16 min 24 sec) *No password required
    Webinar Slides
  3. Contact your ILS/automation vendor if you need information or assistance in exporting files of items you have added or deleted from your library collection in order to submit them.
